Blackhawk Ridge Retrievers is owned by Sean and Casey Downey of Stockton, IL.  Sean has been involved with hunting labrador retrievers for many years.  About ten years ago, Sean bought a chocolate labrador named 'Bailey,' followed later by a black labrador by the name of 'Tank,' and the rest was history.  Tank spent most of his next two summers training with Todd Sterrett at Arrowhead Kennels in Iowa.  Tank was the first Master Hunter dog of Blackhawk Ridge Retrievers and the reason we have such a passion for the hunting labrador retriever. 

 

Blackhawk Ridge Retrievers has occasional litters of AKC registered labrador retrievers.  We strive to breed healthy, happy dogs that are capable in the field, as well as great companions and pets.  Blackhawk Ridge puppies have gone on to title in AKC hunt tests, as well as becoming accomplished hunting partners, therapy dogs, and great family companions.  All of our puppies and started dogs come with a standard 26 month guarantee on hips, elbows, and eyes.  If you're interested in a quality bred labrador, give us a call. 

 

Blackhawk Ridge Retrievers is located in the rollings hills just outside of Stockton, IL.  We are located just one mile south of US Route 20.  Our property is about 14 acres, and we have access to hundreds of more acres for training, hunting, and recreation purposes.  Give us a call or stop by to check out our dogs and puppies.
